Jackie (JJ) (homed)

Jackie has found her home with Peter and Ellen!!

Beautiful dark brindle girl Jackie has been in foster care with Mike and family for the last 6 weeks. Here is what he has to say about her: “Jackie (or or “JJ” as we call her) is a beautiful 3 year old girl who has been in foster care in our home for the past 6 weeks. She is fantastic with children (often falls asleep on the kids’ beds!) and would suit a family with a male dog (of any size). Like most greys she is a couch potato, and loves to lie around the house 90% of the day and is toilet trained. She has some minor sight issues which are easily maintained with daily ointment, and a slight pain in her right rear foot, which only bothers her whilst running.  With a fantastic temperament and being a stunning girl, anyone would be lucky to have her”.

As you can see from the photos with Tash she loves a cuddle! Jackie also loves her food, so any further training should be simple as she is very food focused.  One of her favourite pastimes is playing in the wading pool; she’s a real water baby!  She would be sure to love adventures at the beach, the local river or simply just to have a wading pool of her own in her new home.

Easy to handle, well behaved and a pleasure to spend time with, Jackie will make an ideal companion dog.  She is not cat friendly and lives with small dogs but it is not advisable for JJ to be let off lead with small dogs around.

If you believe you can provide Jackie with the home she so deserves, please contact us.

Jackie is:

  • 3 years old (dob Sept 09)
  • desexed, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated, vaccinated
  • located – Sydney
  • adoption cost $300

We are fostering Jackie at the moment. We just picked her up today, and she has instantly settled in with our other dogs and kids. Very affectionate and shy. She would make a fantastic companion to a family, and friend to other dogs. Jackie loves water… It was a hot day when we brought her home and she sat in the middle of the paddling pool – love it. She is not so sure about stairs though… a work in progress. Champion racer to champion loving pet.
