Hi, I'm Gemma and yes I live up to my name - I'm an absolute gem in every way.
I'm a sweet, easy-going, independent 12 year old lady who loves to sleep and eat on repeat (the cosier the bed, the better, but I'll lay down just about anywhere.)
I had a few rough months before I arrived at Greysland but with the loving kindness of all the wonderful people that have helped me recover, I am doing much better. I love short walks, being around people and laying on the grass in the sun... oh and snacks, snacks of any kind!
Don't let my age fool you, I still do have a playful cheeky side! But don't worry, I tire myself out really quickly. I've lived in a home for many years so rest assured, I've got it all figured out. Nothing fazes me - hhhm, well, I'm a little scared of the wind... and my toots, but that's all I promise.
I'm in my twilight years now so I'd love a single story, quieter home (I can do stairs but please don't make me, as I have some arthritis in my back legs.) I'd also love it if you were home more often than not - you know, so we can hang out and enjoy each other's company. It's OK if you need to go out, I'm good with alone time and will probably just snooze away the time we're apart.
I'm really easy to please and don't need to be doted on (like I said, independent!) but I do love a good neck scratch and I'll always be happy to see you. I'm just a simple ol' gal who deserves a slow, simple life with a loving hooman companion.
Will I be the apple (gem) of your eye? I would love to meet you.
