Did you know that by simply recycling your bottles, cans and cartons you could be helping the Greyhound Rescue kennel kids? It’s true, and it’s all part of the Return and Earn recycling system.
When you recycle your eligible bottles and cans through Return and Earn and get 10 cents back for each, you can choose to double your impact and donate your earnings straight to Greyhound Rescue. What’s not to love – doing good for the environment while helping hounds in need.
If you’re new to the Return and Earn process, there’s never been a better time to get started.
It’s simple to do. Set up the Return and Earn app on your phone, visit a Return and Earn machine and receive a 10 cent refund for each eligible item that you recycle. Once you’ve received your total in the app, you can select Greyhound Rescue as the charity you would like to donate to. The donations will then go directly to helping the cost of rehoming our greyhounds.
Here’s a handy guide on what to do:
- Download the Return and Earn app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- Either log in or sign up.
- When you are logged in, select the ‘Charities’ tab.
- Search for Greyhound Rescue and select it. Next you will need to scroll down and select the ‘set as payout’ option.
- Head to your nearest Return and Earn machine and scan the QR code within the app.
- Return your containers and press “TRANSFER” on the screen when complete. The refund will be sent directly to Greyhound Rescue.
And you’re done! Your refund goes straight to Greyhound Rescue and you’ve automatically doubled your impact!
