Hi, I’m Zeus: King of the gods and supreme ruler of squeaky toys and joyous chaos!

I’m a striking big black boy with the most soulful brown eyes and white-tipped paws. I’m still just a puppy at only 2-years-old, but am already operating at a very advanced level of enthusiasm. I’m fun, silly, affectionate, and just a little bit wild in the best possible way. If you are looking for a calm and mysterious gentleman who glides quietly through life, that is probably someone else. If you are looking for a joyful, boisterous, toy-loving goofball with a huge heart, then hello!

I am extremely excitable and full of beans. When you come to take me out, I like to greet you with kangaroo bounces, which I think is a perfectly reasonable way to express my delight. I can also jump very high, just in case you were wondering whether all this excitement stays neatly contained on the ground. It does not.

I adore people and will demonstrate this with utmost enthusiasm. If I love you, you will know about it, because I may very well come flying in with kisses and nearly bowl you over in the process. Personal space is not really my specialty. Public displays of affection are.

Toys are another of my great passions. I love chasing them, squeaking them, tossing them in the air, and then charging after them all over again as though it is the most exciting development in the history of the world. Honestly, I know how to have a very good time. And you will too, because it’s impossible not to laugh when you watch me.

For all my chaos, I’m really just a big sweetheart with a heart of gold. I’m lovely with everyone and have so much love to give. I’m also friendly with other dogs and would probably really enjoy having a canine friend, especially another hound who could help show me the ropes while I keep building my confidence. Small dogs can get me a bit overexcited at first, but once I get through that initial burst of enthusiasm, I do settle and am very gentle.

Because I’m such a big, bouncy boy, I’d be best suited to a home with children over 5. What I really need is a family who will love my silly spirit, appreciate my giant heart, and help me keep learning how to channel all that excitement into being the very best boy I can be.

So if your home is missing one handsome young hound with thunderbolt energy, and a heart as big as Olympus, I think I might be your boy.
