Hi, I’m Myrtle! 🐾
I’m a fun-loving, sunshine-chasing sweetheart with a heart as big as my zoomies. Everyone tells me I’m beautiful (I won’t argue with that), but what really makes me special is my personality - I’m playful, cheeky, and always ready to turn an ordinary day into something fun.
I’m currently living in a foster home and I’ve been making amazing progress! With the help of my foster hound siblings, I’ve been learning how to manage my big feelings and settle myself much better. I look to the other dogs for guidance and absolutely love their company, so I’d be very happy living with another kind, calm dog who can continue to show me the ropes.
I do take a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but once I do… oh, you’re in for a treat. I’ll completely forget that I’m greyhound-sized and happily try to curl up in your lap for a nap. I’m such a loving, affectionate girl once I feel safe.
I’ve got a big love for play - especially tennis balls. Honestly, I could play with them all day, so a home with a yard is a must for me. Give me a ball and some space and I’ll keep myself (and you) entertained with my zoomies and happy energy.
I’m also a total adventure buddy. Beach trips, bush walks, road trips - I will go literally anywhere with you. Even better, I walk beautifully on lead, so taking me out and about is an absolute dream.
I’m super smart (did I mention smart?) - I can do all the tricks and pick up new things incredibly quickly. Sometimes it’s hard to believe I’m a greyhound with how fast I learn! I absolutely thrive on training and enrichment, and I’d love a home that continues to build on that with me.
Because I can be a bit bouncy and full of personality, I’m best suited to a home without children. I’m looking for understanding, patient humans who can continue helping me navigate my emotions while also embracing my fun, goofy side.
If you’re after a confident, playful, incredibly clever girl who will keep you laughing, join you on every adventure, and then sneak into your lap like she’s a tiny puppy… I might just be your perfect match. 💕
