Dionne was the final piece in the puzzle for Kellie, Ross and family, and this beautiful girl has definitely left her mark on the sofa in her forever home.

Kellie says that with Dionne, “it’s like she has been a part of the family forever.”
“We can’t imagine life without her now. Every time I look at her I think ‘wow what a beauty queen, so regal and elegant – I adore her!”
With a birthday in June, in true Gemini style, Kellie says Dionne is a beautiful, gentle girl, with a bit of an adventurous streak. She loves to “eat basically everything and anything, to be constantly patted and fussed over, to sleep, to go for long walks (rain, hail or shine) and to meet new people.”
Dionne has been learning table manners since finding her forever home, learning that taking food off others’ plates during meals is a no-no. With training, Dionne now assumes the sitting position while the family are eating.

Dionne continues to surprise Kellie, recalling a time when an off-leash dog charged at them while out on a walk. Thankfully, the confrontation de-escalated quickly, and Kellie was extremely proud of how Dionne handled the situation.
Tips learned during training sessions have also been helpful for Kellie and family when helping Dionne interact with other dogs, and Dionne continues to improve each time they go for a walk.
Kellie believes “Greyhounds are an ancient, magnificent breed and they will make your life all the richer for knowing them.”
“Dionne is the fourth dog in my life I have had the privilege of knowing and being guardian to. It has been about 10 years since my last dog passed, and as I have discovered Greyhounds to be such a delight, I wish I had adopted sooner.”
