Perfect Pluto found his forever home with our wonderful Greyhound Rescue volunteer Donna and partner Stuart. Read all about how he has settled into his new life below.
Tell us a bit about Pluto!
Pluto was scared and unsure when we first bought him home, but it didn’t take long for him to settle in. Whilst it’s his personality to be wary and he takes time to warm to people, he has most certainly settled in and quickly became a very special member of our family.
What is his favourite thing to do?
Pluto loves to explore the yard. He loves to sleep in the office when dad works from home. That’s his special place! He also likes to gather his toys or anything else he finds lying around and take them to his bed. He usually has a collection of toys, caps, socks and magazines!
How has Pluto fit into your family?
Although he was timid at first, he has become very comfortable with all of us seeking pats and cuddles and we couldn’t imagine our house without him. Although he enjoys his alone time, he seeks out someone to snuggle with and loves to sneak onto the bed whenever he gets a chance.
What would you say to someone thinking about adopting a greyhound?
Adopting a rescue dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do. Greyhounds are so good at being pets and will bring you so much joy. Greyhound Rescue will take the time to make the best match for you and your circumstances.
I’ve had the experience of volunteering at greyhound rescue which I love and being able to get to know the greys in our care is amazing. It will have you coming back for more and you could also end up with one or two greys of your own!
