The delightful Brownie found her forever home with Kami, family and fur sister Coco the Cavoodle. Formerly known as Bellini, her new name Brownie came about thanks to the family’s collective love of brownies. Read all about her transition to pet life below!

Kami and family love everything about the delicious Brownie.
“We love everything about our Brownie – her funny noises, her missing or pointy ears, her beautiful, gentle eyes, her chattering, her crossed lady-like legs, her super fast zoomies, her excited, playful barks, even her deadly farts,” says Kami.
“We cannot imagine our lives without our Brownie girl! The beginning was difficult because we were not sure a small fluffy doggie and a large ex-racing pup were a good combination.”
“There were some growls, some barks but patience and some adjustments paid off so much in the end. We are very grateful to be able to share our life and home with this beautiful creature.”
Brownie loves little people, and her favourite place for walks in the morning is near her local school.
“She is very playful in the mornings and evenings, loves digging holes, loves laying in her sandpit. She gets super excited about walkies and loves long sniffaries,” says Kami. “The kids adore her! She teaches them how to be gentle and caring.”
Brownie and her fur sister Coco also love a good game of bitey face together.

Kami says that while they don’t know much about Brownie’s past life, “she was extremely fast to steal our hearts”.
“Before adopting Brownie, I was not sure I was ready to love another dog after losing my previous beautiful Greyhound girl, Dot. In the beginning, I was comparing them and it was very interesting to find the similar greyhound characteristics but also, to discover how different their personalities are.”
“Brownie completely won my heart with her softness, gentle eyes, loving nature, playfulness… She is my shadow and follows me everywhere. Luckily, I’m home most days to enjoy my girls’ company and watch them play.”
Kami recommends anyone who is looking to adopt a greyhound asks questions about their personality first.
“Greyhounds, like all dogs, need a patient and understanding person who is prepared to meet their needs. Read, ask questions and enjoy this wonderful experience of sharing your life with your special Greyhound!”
