Gobi gets a second chance

May 4, 2022 | Success Stories

Gobi arrived at Greyhound Rescue in June 2021. A beautiful blue brindle, his rugged good looks and joyful personality made him an instant hit with the volunteers.

A few weeks later, Gobi went on trial with a family. Unfortunately, this placement wasn’t quite right for him … but that is not the end of his story. In fact, it was just the beginning of his happily ever after!

Gobi hit the jackpot on his second trial with Paige and her partner.

“Greyhound Rescue could not have done a better job matching us with the perfect dog for our family,” said Paige.

“Gobi so quickly picked up our routine and lifestyle and made himself at home. It’s been so easy bringing him into our family.”

Paige describes Gobi as ‘intelligent’ and ‘affectionate’. “He absolutely loves a cuddle – on the couch, on the bed, anywhere will do!”

Gobi also loves chasing his soft toys down the hallway and “roaching”.

“I’d never seen a dog “roach” before Gobi. It is the best part of the day seeing him so relaxed and happy, napping on the couch.”

“We loved working with Greyhound Rescue because they show such care and attention to matching greys with the perfect family. They are super serious about what they do and support you every step of the way so you can be the best grey owner.”

“They hit the nail on the head when they matched us with Gobi.”
