Pet life a work of art for Mr Squiggle

Mar 3, 2022 | Success Stories

Greyhound Rescue finds loving forever homes for greyhounds no longer wanted by the racing industry. We interviewed Rachel and her family, who adopted greyhound Mr Squiggle in late 2020, about their adoption experience.

Describe your hound and their unique personality.

Mr Squiggle is a 3-year-old hound. From day one, he’s been very curious about everything and loves sniffing about the house and backyard. He’s very playful at certain times of the day and loves his humans to go outside with him to run around and play with his toys.

What’s their favourite thing to do?

He loves going for his daily walks so that he can sniff a lot, sleeping, getting a scratch, being with his human pack, having people over, playing with his squeaky toys, eating meat and zooming around the backyard.

Are there any funny anecdotes or stories that you’d like to share about your hound?

Mr Squiggle is very vocal when he wants his morning or afternoon walk or food and makes some very funny noises. He’s also extra cute when his tongue is sticking out, he’s doing a happy dance when his food is being brought to him or when he shakes his body all over.

Would you recommend adopting from Greyhound Rescue?

We would highly recommend adopting from Greyhound Rescue as they take the time to match the hound with the family and their living arrangements. This may take a bit longer but it is worth it to get a great match. Mr Squiggle is part of our family and we can’t imagine life without him.
