The “Greyt Masters” works are created by the Kennel Kids at Greyhound Rescue. These greyhounds have come to Greyhound Rescue from the racing industry and are being rehabilitated in order to start their new lives as adored family pets.
This latest collection “Greyt Masters : Noods” reflects the artists’ exploration of self, a series that explores the body as a vessel and a source of beauty. Works in this exhibition vary in style, yet are inextricably connected by a common thread of exploration and reverence.
Greyhounds are invited to participate in creating artworks as a form of enrichment. Enrichment activities are excellent to help rescued hounds develop confidence and decision-making skills. Money raised from the sale of artworks assists with the high costs of rescuing, rehabilitation, and rehoming greyhounds.
