Sunny walks and snuggles just what Alby ordered

Alby sits next to colourful blanket

Four-year-old Alby found his forever home with Jeremy and Chloe. His new life is all about walks in the sun and snuggling up on chilly mornings.

Jeremy and Chloe describe Alby as a “beautiful, tall boy with such a loving nature”. They think he is so beautiful in fact, that they find it difficult to remember what life was like before he became part of the family.

“He is just the best friend and companion” Chloe says. “He has become a huge favourite among our family and friends…we think sometimes they’re more excited to see him than us when they come to visit!”

This works out well because Alby loves to make friends with both humans and dogs.

Alby is also a curious boy. That means a quick walk shouldn’t necessarily be expected, with every tree needing to be thoroughly sniffed. Out of politeness, pats must always be received, and if that means deviating off the path to say hello, well Alby thinks so be it.

Alby discovered how great toys are during his stay at Greysland, and his collection has naturally expanded in his new home.

“Alby just loves chew toys” explain Jeremy and Chloe. “So much so that sometimes he even mistakes the odd pair of shoes for a chew toy.”

Alby has responded well to training, particularly with his mat.

“We started training Alby to sit on a mat for when he’d come with us to a cafe or for a picnic in the park. He eventually became so attached to it that one day when the mat went up on the coffee table, Alby decided that was a good place to sit too!”

Jeremy and Chloe say don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about adopting one of these gorgeous noodles.

“Be prepared to be welcomed into a wonderful club of greyhound families with lots of advice to share. And don’t be surprised if, before too long, you’re thinking about greyhound #2…”

“Working with an organisation like Greyhound Rescue allowed us to be matched with a hound who would be happy with our lifestyle.”

“We felt like we were set up for our best possible chance of giving Alby the happy life he deserves.”
