Horseshoe Falls Walking Track (also known as Burgess Falls walking track) is located within Horseshoe Falls Reserve in the Blue Mountains. With a number of gorgeous waterfalls and waterholes where eager houndies can cool off, this is a fun, scenic short walk great for kids and hounds alike!

Where: Access via Oaklands Rd, Hazelbrook. There is no dedicated carpark for the start of this walk – visitors can park on the street or on the patch of grass adjacent to the trailhead. 

Length/duration: The easy-moderate grade track is approximately 3km return. Allow 1 to 2 hours. The track is a mixture of boardwalk, bush track and stone steps. 

Opening hours: You can access the walk 24/7, 365 days per year! For the best waterfall experience, visit after rainfall but good hiking shoes are a must!! The track can get very muddy. 

On lead/off-leash? On lead at all times. 

For the hounds: There are no poo-bag dispensers or disposal bins in Horseshoe Falls Reserve, so come prepared and carry your rubbish out of the reserve with you. No dog drinking fountains.

For the humans:

There are no facilities in Horseshoe Falls Reserve however cafes, restaurants and public toilets can be found in the Hazelbrook shopping precinct a short 2-3 minute drive down Oaklands Rd.
