How long have you been volunteering with Greyhound Rescue and what is your role?

I can’t for the life of me remember how I stumbled upon this organisation, but I am forever grateful I did. I have been volunteering at Greyhound Rescue since late 2018, and I now come out to the kennels on a weekly basis.

What’s the best thing about being a Greyhound Rescue volunteer?

I volunteer as much for myself as I do the dogs – it brings me so much joy to spend time with them. They all have such individual personalities with their own unique charisma and charm.

As a volunteer you get to build unique relationships with each dog. If you are thinking about volunteering, give it a try!! I guarantee you will take one look at the hounds and you will be hooked.

Our organisation is supported by a team of volunteers who manage activities and tasks including, kennel management, marketing, website and social media, adoptions and fostering, partnerships and sponsorship events, fundraising and promotions and corporate volunteering. Click here to find out more.
