Phoebe (cat tolerant) (Homed)

Phoebe is a small black girl with a winning smile and touch of cheekiness in her personality. She is playful and curious, and a bit of a clown, it doesn’t take long for her to win your heart. Phoebe is tolerant of confident indoor cats but at this stage is best not left outside with small fluffies – she loves to find out what everyone is doing and where they are going, she wants to be a lady about town! She gets on well with other dogs and will respond well to training as she is quite fond of the tuckerbag!

If you would like more information on Phoebe or any of our other hounds patiently waiting please contact us info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Phoebe is:

  • DOB 23.7.12
  • Microchipped, vaccinated, desexed, heartworm tested and treated

Quinn (Cat Tolerant) (Homed)

Quinn is a small black boy with the most expressive cute ears. He needs a bit of TLC to get out his “kennel coat”  and yummy sardines to give it some shine. He is quite shy and will need a family that understands he will need time to come out of his shell, but with a bit of patience you will be rewarded with the love of a most beautiful soul. He is the sort of dog you just want to hold forever and spoil to bits, whoever adopts him will be one lucky family!  He gets on well with other dogs of various sizes (but he does fancy himself a bit of a ladies man) and is also quite happy to live with a cat. He is a bit shy around noisy small humans but if he is given space and privacy he would live happily with understanding children.

If you are interested in Quinn or any of our other hounds to foster or adopt please contact us for more information info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

  •  DOB 16.2.12
  • Desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and treated
  • Adoption cost $350

Baxter (Homed)

Baxter is kindly sponsored by Sue!

“Hi, my name’s Baxter and just because I don’t look like a cookie cutter variety greyhound everyone keeps thinking I’m a cross! But I promise I’m all greyhound I just like to make everyone take a second look at me. I’m not that keen on small dogs or those kitty cats, but I know there’s plenty of people that don’t like those much either – are you one of them, we could be buddies?! Kids over 5 are OK by me if you have any of those at your house. I was lucky enough to get saved from the pound by the folks at GR because I found it a stressful place! I’m a pretty happy go lucky kinda guy, and I’m looking forward to being in a family that will take me out for car rides and walks and make me forget all about it.  I would like a home where I could hang out with some people and get lots of yummy dinners and maybe if I’m very good an odd treat or two…just sayin’ (*wink wink*)! If you think I could come to your house and be the happiest dog in the world you need to get in touch with the volunteers at GR!”

Mary (Cat Tolerant) (Homed)

There’s something about…Mary! This lovely lady is a quiet soul who through no fault of her own has found herself in our busy overflow kennels and is unsure of what is happening to her. She seems to be quite gentle and we can’t wait to see her come out of her shell. We would love some of our longer residents at our main kennels to get busted out so we can move Mary and many others over to our main kennels so the volunteers can get to know them better. If you are interested in fostering or adopting please contact us info@greyhoundrescue.com.au so we can help find your perfect match!

Mary is:

  • approx 5 years old DOB TBC
  • desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated
  • Located in Sydney
  • Not yet cat tested
  • Adoption cost $350

JC (Homed)

JC is kindly sponsored by Jeannine & Greg!

“I’m JC and I am loveable lump of a greyhound in search of my forever home. Don’t be put off by my size, there is just much more of me to love and I am light on my toes! I am a gentlemanly fellow with plenty of charm and charisma. I have been told with my impressive good looks if I was a human I would have been a star of the silver screen. If you could imagine me a Clark Gable kind of chap looking for a leading lady I’m sure you could understand how I make all the lady volunteers swoon! I would prefer a home without smaller dogs or felines as they would only cramp my style, but if you’re looking for a hound looking for some one to enjoy the finer things in life with  contact my agents…I mean the volunteers info@greyhoundrescue.com.au”

JC is:

  • DOB 21.11.11
  • Desexed, microchipped, heartworm tested and treated
  • Located in Sydney
  • Adoption cost $350

Jill (Homed)

Jill is being sponsored by Alan. Thank you.

Jill has gone into foster care in the Blue Mountains with Jo!

Jill arrived with her brother Jack and is about 3 years old. Jill might be little in stature but she is big on bounce! She has lots of energy and is very playful and funny- she obviously missed the memo about greyhounds being lazy… Maybe it has something to do with her nursery rhyme namesake, or maybe its just Jill, but she loves buckets of water!  In the warm months she not only splashes about in the paddle pools but tries to do the same in her water bucket, so Jill is the only one who has two in her kennel – one for sploshing her dainty paws in and the other for drinking! She loves people to bits but is a bit wary about other dogs. It would be best if she was the only dog, and definitely not withcats. If you think you might have enough water and buckets to keep Jill happy, and a nice comfy couch to stretch out on please contact us!

Jill is:

  • 3 years old (DOB 6.1.11)
  • Desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heart worm tested and treated
  • Not cat friendly
  • Located in Sydney
  • adoption costs $350

Eugene Noodles (Homed)

Mr Eugene Noodles is a special boy with an unusual name! At only one year old he has had quite a tough start to life, although the circumstances we aren’t completely aware of. It seems as though this poor boy has had an injury to his head at some point, and also his tail that unfortunately now is just a little stump! Despite the colouring in the photos this boy is actually a beautiful black and white and when his “kennel coat” comes out will lose most of the brown patches. Eugene needs a home that can give him the TLC he needs – the world is an exciting but sometimes scary place for him and he needs a home that can provide him with a stable routine and lots of love, as well as good dinners to get some weight on him. He is absolutely adorable, give him a neck scratch and he is putty in your hands, give him a cuddle and he will snuggle in with delight. He loves teddy bears, and making a nest out of his blankets and toys, although he will find the strangest positions to sleep in and would rather his head hang off the side! In fact, he would prefer to laze around than go for a walk, he should really be called “Eugene Couch Potato” than Eugene Noodles! Having already been in a foster home he is used to all the household noises, and is toilet trained. He will also be alright given some toys and a quiet space if you need to go out for a couple of hours.

Eugene would be best suited to a home without children or other dogs. We would suggest at this point he would be better in a home without cats also – being such a little dude he would like the spotlight only on himself! Eugene did not cope in kennels and is in emergency foster but we need a home for this special guy ASAP – our foster carer can only look after him for a short time. He has had quite a journey to get to us and the sooner he is in a permanent loving home the better for Mr Noodles! If you can offer your heart and home to this special boy please contact us info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Eugene is:

  • Age: 1 year old
  • Desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and treated
  • Adoption cost $350
  • Located in Sydney
  • Not suited to cats

Leroy (Homed)

Leroy is kindly sponsored by Sarahann & Hadley.

Leroy is a gorgeous red fawn boy with a twinkle in his eye and a cheeky smile. He seemed pretty pleased with cracking himself up when our volunteers came to visit him at our overflow kennels at Londonderry! Eager for some company and some ear rubs and pats, Leroy seems like a very good natured fellow that would love to bust out someplace else. If you would like to know more about Leroy and help us get him or another of our patiently waiting hounds into a foster or forever home please contact us info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Jed (Homed)

Jed is kindly sponsored by Ross!

Jed arrived as Jimmy, but we already had a Jimmy so his sponsor named him Jed 🙂

He is a handsome black fellow who just wanted to be cuddled and talked to when our volunteers paid him a visit. He was definitely wishing he could be somewhere else on a quiet comfy couch! We are just so full even at our new premises at the moment so we don’t get to know newbies like Jed as well as we would like to who are at our overflow kennels. If you could help us bust out Jed or one of his other kennel buddies into a foster or forever home please contact us info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

  • 3 years old DOB 25.4.12

Johnny is a large black and white boy who is recent save from Renbury Pound. Despite being underweight and needing some good food to fill him up he has a beautiful glossy coat. If you could help us bust out Johnny or one of his other kennel buddies into a foster or forever home please contact us info@greyhoundrescue.com.au
