Hi there! My name is Poppet — Poppet by name, and poppy by nature. 🌸

I’m a bouncy, joyful 2-year-old girl who’s had a bit of a ruff start in life, but you’d never guess it with how much love I have to give. I’m looking for kind, patient humans who will let me grow at my own pace and continue helping me build confidence as I learn about the world.

Let’s get one thing straight… I am a professional snuggler. And I mean SNUGGGGGGGLES. I will crawl into your lap, wedge my head under your arm, jump into bed with you, and demand all the love you have to offer. Personal space? Never heard of it. If you’re looking for a velcro dog who just wants to be close to you at all times — I’m your girl.

I’ve been working really hard on my training and I’m making such lovely progress. A lot of my stress comes from the kennel environment, but in the right home, I truly start to shine. I’ll need a patient, understanding home that can continue my socialisation and help me keep building positive experiences out in the world.

I’d do best as your one and only at home — other dogs can be a bit overwhelming for me to live with. However, I can walk nicely around other dogs and am currently learning how to be more respectful around them off lead too (I’m getting there!). With continued guidance, I’ll keep improving every day.

I LOVE to play — zoomies, toys, splashing in water… it’s all my kind of fun. I’d love a home with a yard where I can burn off some energy and enjoy my playful side, but I could also live happily in an apartment as long as my needs are met with regular exercise, enrichment, and lots of love.

Because I can be a bit bouncy and enthusiastic, I’m not suited to a home with kids. I wouldn’t mean to, but I might accidentally knock someone over in my excitement.

I also had a broken leg when I was a puppy, but it doesn’t slow me down at all now — I get around beautifully and live my life to the fullest.

I thrive on routine, structure, and (most importantly) snacks. With the right guidance, love, and consistency, I’m going to grow into the most incredible companion.
