Marcia
3 year old female
* Currently living in a home with 5 other dogs
* Good with alone time
* Toilet trained
Hi there, my name is Marcia. I’m an incredibly shy and timid little lady so it doesn’t come naturally for me to sing my own praises, however I am going to give it my best shot.
At just over 3 years of age, I’m very new to learning about this thing called ‘pet life.’ It was only a couple of months ago that I landed in my first ever foster home with a really lovely family.
As self-promotion doesn’t come easily to me, I’ll let the words of my foster family speak for themselves (especially as they only seem to have good things to say about me!)...
‘Marcia is super shy/timid but when she warms up to you, she is honestly the sweetest little lady ever. She has the most beautiful face ever: super delicate features and is super dainty. Marcia gets on really well with other dogs and could do with having a friend with her wherever she goes. She loves laying in the grass. She also really loves collecting anything that’s fabric and taking it outside. Marcia is food-obsessed but hasn't yet figured out how to take food from your hand. She would need a home with a nice backyard that she can settle into fully before having to go for a walk.’
That’s a pretty positive performance review, if I do say so myself!
To add some more context, I am currently living with 4 other greyhounds and have never had any issues with any of them. As I get on really well with other dogs, I would greatly benefit from having a four-legged friend to help me with my confidence, as long as they're not too jumpy or in my face. A calm, easygoing and respectful canine pal would be ideal.
And not to labour on too much about it, but as I am such a timid soul, I would need an understanding and quiet home with a kind, gentle family who are prepared to be patient with me. With time, love, patience, and when I get to know you, I have so much love to give.
I could happily live with kind and gentle kids over 5 years old who understand the need to respect a shy dog's space.
So if you are in a position to offer this gentle, sweet, petite and all-round adorable little lady a loving home; and perhaps give her the chance to burrow her way into your heart, reach out to the peeps at Greyhound Rescue and hopefully we can meet.

To make sure everyone is happy, we match each hound with the right family, and we provide lots of support along the way!
