Tall, dark, handsome… and looking for my happily-ever-after.

The name’s Clooney. Clooney.

Yep, like that Clooney. And while I can’t promise you a Hollywood smile or a villa on Lake Como, I can offer long legs, movie-star looks, oodles of charm and an affectionate heart that’s just waiting to find its leading lady or leading man.

Beneath this suave exterior, I’m a sensitive soul who loves the simple things in life: tasty treats, leisurely walks, sniffing out the neighbourhood news and spending quality time with my favourite humans. I’m very partial to a good ear scratch, too. In fact, I’ll lean into you with such enthusiasm that you might find yourself wondering who’s holding up who!

I’m a clever chap who enjoys enrichment, cardboard adventures, treat scatters, a good dig and even a splash about in the water. Throw in a game of fetch and a chance to explore the world at my own pace, and I’m a pretty happy fellow. Just a little heads-up: I can get possessive of my balls, so those are best enjoyed with some thoughtful management.

My ideal home? Think peaceful country retreat rather than paparazzi-packed red carpet.

I’m looking for a loving human who is home most of the time, particularly while I settle into my new life. I do best with a quiet, predictable routine, gentle handling and a cosy spot of my own where I can relax without being disturbed. Loud noises, raised voices, busy environments and too many changes can leave me feeling overwhelmed, so a calm home where I can decompress and learn to feel safe would be just the ticket.

I’ve lived in a home before, so I already know a thing or two about domestic life. I’m toilet trained and will politely paw at the door when nature calls. I’m comfortable with stairs and uneven ground, respond to my name and understand a few gentle cues. I’ve previously managed being home alone for up to three hours, although I’ll need time and patience to settle into a new routine.

Now, in the interests of full disclosure, every leading man has a little character development to do.

When I’m stressed, tired or guarding something precious to me, I can become protective of beds, furniture, balls and other treasures I’ve managed to acquire. If I’m approached or disturbed, I may growl or snap to communicate that I need space. I need an experienced, understanding human who respects those signals, avoids confronting me over possessions and can help me feel secure through thoughtful management and positive, reward-based support. My resting spaces and special belongings need to be handled with care, and I should never be disturbed when I’m settling down for the night.

When life gets a little too much, I can also develop stress-related habits such as excessive licking, chewing things I shouldn't or fly-biting. A calm environment, suitable enrichment and support from a qualified professional can help me learn healthier ways to cope.

I’ve also had a significant injury to my right front leg in the past, and my lameness has recently worsened, despite X-rays showing no abnormalities. My comfort and mobility will need ongoing veterinary attention, so my future family should be prepared to work with their vet to understand and manage this.

What about other dogs? I’m open to sharing my castle with another dog, and I’ve comfortably lived alongside visiting dogs of different sizes. I’d be happiest with a relaxed, socially savvy canine companion who understands personal space and doesn’t mistake my face for a licking station. I’m not a fan of rough play, and I may chase dogs who run, so introductions, supervision and sensible management are important.

Children aren’t the right fit for me, either. I need a grown-up home where everyone understands canine body language, respects my boundaries and appreciates that even a charming leading man needs his privacy.

But please don't mistake my need for space and understanding for a lack of love. Quite the opposite! Once I feel safe, I have so much affection to give. I'm a sweet, food-motivated boy who enjoys gentle companionship, shared adventures and simply being near his people. I just need a little help navigating the world when it feels overwhelming.

So, if your idea of the good life involves peaceful mornings, sniff-filled strolls, delicious treats and a handsome greyhound to keep you company, perhaps we could be a perfect match.

I’m not looking for a life of glitz and glamour. Just a safe home, a kind heart, a predictable routine and someone who understands that the best relationships are built on trust.

Give me that, and who knows? We might just make a blockbuster of our own.

Clooney’s the name. Charm is my game. And I'm ready for my next big adventure.

Coming soon to a loving home near you… hopefully yours!
