Hi there! This is Chicane calling!
Did you know that a chicane is a sharp, alternating double-bend or S-turn in a road? In motor racing, it’s used to slow cars down before a long straightaway.
Well, as a high-energy girly with an elite zoomie game and an absolutely exhaustive lust for life, I wholeheartedly endorse the use of a few of those chicanes for this Chicane!
Allow me to introduce myself. I’m a petite black girl with youth on my side, an enormous zest for life, and a serious love of people. I’m always ready for an adventure and am generally of the opinion that whatever is happening, I would very much like to be involved.
I’m the perfect mixture of calm and excitable — although there may be just a smidgen more excitable in that particular recipe! Overall, I’d describe myself as a super-happy bundle of joy on four legs.
I have a more-than-healthy interest in, well… basically everything. I’m an investigator, an inquisitor and an explorer, and I can pretty much guarantee that life will never be dull with me around.
Like most greyhounds, I’m approximately 50% elite athlete and 50% Victorian fainting lady. I can sprint at extraordinary speed for 30 seconds, then behave as though walking to the kitchen for a biscuit requires a lengthy restorative lie-down.
Priorities, people.
I’m also a professional pat-seeker and am always delighted to receive attention from absolutely anyone willing to provide it. In fact, I lean into ear scratches with such enthusiasm that you may occasionally wonder who is supporting whom.
I’m always very excited to meet other dogs, but I’m still learning how to do this appropriately. For that reason, I think I’d do best in a home where I’m the only dog, at least initially. But fear not! I’m a fast learner and am very much looking forward to making some canine friends who are on my wavelength and ready to match my enthusiasm for play.
As for little humans, I’d be happy living with children over five, provided they are kind and understand that I’ll need some space, patience and quiet while I settle into my new home.
So, if your heart and home have room for an effervescent, fun-loving, enthusiastic little cuddle bug, I think we could make a very good team.
