Hi there! My name is Ginko, and I'd love to tell you a little about myself.

I'm a sweet and petite black girl with the most delightful sprinkle of salt and pepper across my snoot and eyebrows. I also have the softest fur imaginable and the most incredible origami ears—they seem to have a life of their own! From pointy to floppy and everything in between, I have quite the collection of ear-dos.

I'm a gentle soul who can be a little shy when meeting new people or exploring unfamiliar places. I'm also wonderfully curious, though, and with a little patience, a calm environment, and the chance to do things at my own pace, my confidence grows every day. Once I start to come out of my shell, you'll discover there's a cheeky little character hiding underneath.

When I'm feeling comfortable, I absolutely love to play. Toys are one of my favourite things, and I take my zoomies very seriously! Expect joyful sprints, twists, leaps, and the occasional mid-air acrobatic move. I've also developed quite the reputation for my elite ball skills—at this rate, I may even get a call-up from the Matildas!

As I settle into home life, I'd love to have a quiet, cosy space that's all mine, like a warm crate or an indoor cubby, where I can retreat for a nap or a little downtime whenever I need it. Having that safe haven helps me feel secure, and as my confidence grows, you'll probably find me choosing to spend more and more time by your side instead.

One of my sweetest little quirks is that I enjoy breakfast in bed. I've even mastered the art of carrying it there myself without spilling a single piece! I'm also a huge fan of food and treats, so if you're looking for the way to my heart, you've just found it.

Although I'm often interested in meeting other dogs, I'm still learning what it's like to be a much-loved pet. Because of that, I'd do best as the only dog in my new home, where I can enjoy all the love, attention, and encouragement to myself.

I'd be happy living with children over five years old, as long as they're gentle and understand that I sometimes need a little space and quiet while I settle in.

If you're looking for a kind-hearted, gentle companion and you're willing to let our friendship blossom at my pace, I promise you'll be rewarded with the sweetest, funniest little greyhound who is so ready to enjoy the life she's always deserved.

The best part? Every little milestone feels like a celebration. The first tail wag, the first playful zoomie, the first time I choose to curl up beside you—those moments are what make adopting a shy dog so incredibly special.
