Hey, I’m Barbara! You know, like Barbie, only a little more formal. But just as loveable! I’m a 6 year old girl looking for my own forever dream house with my very own person or people to love! I have had a bit of a rough time in the past which led to me losing a part of my lungs. I’m okay and recovering well, but what this means is that I get tired out a bit faster than your average hound. So, unlike most of my hound friends, I can’t do lots of walkies. I will need a bit more help staying entertained, like enrichment activities and training.
Barbie is clever enough to be an astronaut, a doctor and even a mermaid princess and I’m just as clever. So I am really hoping to meet someone who will help me stay switched on, interested and happy! I am a BIG fan of toys. I just LOVE my toys. Maybe a little bit too much, at times, so it would be good if my person understood when I get protective of them and would help me to manage them. Do you have stairs at home? It’s ok if you do, but I am still learning them, so you’d need to be a little patient with me! But remember, I’m a clever girl; I’ll figure them out in no time!
I am best suited to a home with grown-ups and kids over 12 who will understand my needs but still be able to share lots of love and fun with me. I’m getting more social these days, meeting other dogs and getting more comfortable with them, so if you have a dog already, but could make room for one more, then we should definitely meet! Who knows, maybe you’ll meet me and decide that me + your family = Just Kenough!
