Hey, I’m Barbara! You know, like Barbie, only a little more formal. But just as loveable! I’m a 6 year old girl looking for my own foster dream house with my very own person or people to love! I have had a bit of a rough time in the past which lead to me losing a part of my lungs. I’m okay and recovering well, but what this means is that I get tired out a bit faster than your average hound. So, unlike most of my hound friends, I can’t do lots of walkies. I will need a bit more help staying entertained, like enrichment activities and training.
Barbie is clever enough to be an astronaut, a doctor and even a mermaid princess and I’m just as clever. So I am really hoping to meet someone who will help me stay switched on, interested and happy! I am a BIG fan of toys. I just LOVE my toys. Maybe a little bit too much, at times, so it would be good if my person understood when I get protective of them and would help me to manage them. Do you have stairs at home? It’s ok if you do, but I am still learning them, so you’d need to be a little patient with me! But remember, I’m a clever girl; I’ll figure them out in no time!
I’ve been around kids, but only kids who are very dog-savvy, with a grown up who is kid AND dog savvy- I’d probably be better off with grown up humans. I’m a bit selective about other dogs, too, so it’d better for me if I was the only houndy in the home, or if you were very willing to work patiently with me and your other furry friends. Other greyhounds are alright, but I'd prefer to be the only one in our house! I am Kenough, you know? And I bet you are too!
