Idgie (formerly known as Fruitie) is a gorgeous little gal with silky black fur and a winning grin! She was adopted by her mums in October 2020. Read on for their take on what “Life with Idgie” is like:
“Idgie is a big lush. She’s goofy, loving and very inquisitive and she adores her new life. She loves rides in the car and going on trips; walks, squeaky toys, the lounge and her pawrent’s bed only sometimes 😉
Due to the year that was 2020, we had to wait a while for our fur-baby, when we arrived at Greysland for our “meet and greet” we already knew we wouldn’t be leaving without her
She’s made us a family, easily taking up her place in the middle (of the bed) between mum and mum.
Idgie once made herself at home during a family BBQ by pinching a juicy steak off her grandparents kitchen bench. She thought she’d gotten away with it, olly to have the whole room roar with laughter and say “IDGIE STOP!” The look in her eyes as she surrendered the steak, without so much as a scratch, was priceless.
If you’re thinking of adopting a greyhound, why wait?! Just do it. It was the best decision we ever made. We can’t imagine life without our goofy noodle horse.
We highly recommend Greyhound Rescue and their mission. We knew when starting our adoption process that we wanted to go through an organisation that puts the welfare of each hound above everything else and Greyhound Rescue do just that.
The love, care and absolute dedication of the volunteers to make sure the right home is found for every hound is incredible.”
