Luna an absolute joy to have around

Sep 5, 2023 | Success Stories

Sweet Luna finds her forever home and transforms from timid and a little distant to happy and playful girl.

When Luna first found her home with Rhyanon and Daniel, it was clear that she would need some time to settle in, not wanting much to do with them. Time Rhyanon and Daniel gave her, and she has since grown in confidence. She’s now an absolute bundle of excitement when they come home.

“Luna is a sweet and sensitive girl, still a little bit timid, but has made amazing progress, becoming more and more confident and comfortable with us, although she still likes her own space,” says Rhyanon.

“She loves to meet other dogs, especially small dogs… She is an absolute joy to have around.”

Luna loves to hang out with her friend, Charlie the chocolate Labrador, Daniel’s mum’s pooch. She loves to take her toys for a big zoomie around the yard, chilling out on Daniel and Rhyanon’s bed, and chomping on her favourites, chicken and steak.

“She is getting more vocal and sassy when she wants my attention,” says Rhyanon. “She has really begun to feel at home. She has even learned to play tug o war!”

Rhyanon and Daniel believe greyhounds are amazing – funny, goofy, sensitive, sweet and lazy!

“Adopting a hound has been an amazing and rewarding experience, giving a beautiful hound a second chance,” says Rhyanon.

“The volunteers at Greyhound rescue are awesome, very friendly and supportive through the entire adoption process.”

“Not only did I adopt a gorgeous hound, but I also gained an amazing community of other greyhound pawrents, ready to share advice and share stories of their hounds.”

“I want to thank everyone who helped us find Luna and give her the second chance she deserved. She has really changed our lives and I could not imagine living without her. I can’t wait to adopt a friend for her.”
