Drax the Medical Mystery

Mar 23, 2022 | Events

Greyhound Rescue saved Drax after his racing career had ended. Drax is a very sweet boy with some serious medical issues! It was immediately noted that he was experiencing pain and was reluctant to be handled. He had a dislocated toe, but for Drax that was just the start of his health problems. The toe we could resolve with veterinary attention, rest, and time. But it was more than that. We noticed that at times his skin would become inflamed and raw. His digestive system was volatile. Worst of all, Drax was super sore. In spite of being an incredibly affectionate boy who would look for pats, at times he would recoil- even crying out in pain- from the slightest touch.
