Oatie a standout in Parramatta

May 31, 2021 | Success Stories

A greyt big, fawn hound, Oatie is hard to miss, especially on the streets of Parramatta where he was lucky enough to find his forever family in August 2020.

Nine months have passed since his adoption and according to his dad, Oatie has really found his feet and is comfortable with the concept of ‘pet life’.

“Oatie is going really well. He is well and truly settled in now and he’s had no dramas with apartment living.

“He loves going for walks and loves getting pats from anyone and everyone that will give them!

“Nothing really seems to trouble him, and if, on the odd occasion, he is startled, he recovers very quickly.

We are often approached when we’re walking him around Parramatta by people wanting to know about him and meet him. I think due to his colour and size he must stand out!

“We tell anyone who says that they have been thinking adopting a greyhound, to do it!!!”

How’s that for an endorsement?! Check out our adoption process here. If it’s not the right time, you can still help us find loving homes for hounds by becoming a ‘Help a Hound’ supporter. Find out more here.
