Blueberry Cheesecake Pupsicle Recipe

Nov 15, 2020 | Enrichment, Fun, News

There’s nothing better than a cool snack on a hot day, and let’s be honest, we all enjoy pampering our pups- they deserve it! These snacks are so perfect for relaxing with your favourite pooch, most of all because the recipe is people-friendly too! Did you know that our hounds have far superior senses of taste and smell, so we owe it to them to keep their noms interesting.

Ingredients

250gm cream cheese
1 ½ cups greek yoghurt
¼ cup rice malt syrup
½ cup blueberries (plus for decoration)
¼ cup crumbled wheat biscuits or dog biscuits

Method

Put your cream cheese, yoghurt, and rice malt syrup in a blender and blend until well combined. Set aside half of the mixture. Add blueberries to your pupsicle mould and pour in the yoghurt mixture to half fill each mould. Freeze this for about an hour until it starts to set up.

Remove 2 tablespoons of the remaining mix and set aside before adding blueberries to the mix that’s waiting for you in the blender and blend until it’s a pretty purple colour. Add this to your mould to create a two-tone pupsicle. At this stage also add your stick.

Take the remaining 2 tablespoons of yoghurt mixture that you reserved earlier and mix together with the crushed biscuits. Add these to the top of the mould and return to freezer overnight.

You can experiment with lots of different presentation ideas and have fun with this sweet summer treat. Never leave your houndie unattended with a pupsicle and make sure that you never let go of that stick!
