Hi, I’m Nikolaj! My name means “victor among all” and that’s what I’ll feel like when I find myself a new family! I’m a quiet, shy boy who needs a peaceful home and patient pawrents. I’ve been told that I’m every shade of chocolate in the sunlight, from dark to caramilk and I know you humans love your chocolate! (Not me- I’ve heard it is NOT good for dogs!) I think you’ll love me just as much as you love chocolate, though, because I’m a total sweetie.

I’ll do best if I have my adult humans all to myself, though an older kiddo with a gentle nature would be a bonus. Especially if they’re ok with keeping the volume down and keeping things chilled out for me. I’m still getting used to the world and loud noises and sudden movements are still a bit scary!

I’m comfy seeing other hound friends but still not sure of different kinds of dogs. My human carers say there’s loads of different kinds, but it makes me a bit nervous. I want to start exploring and building my confidence, but I’m not quite there yet. I will need some slow and gentle encouragement to start strolling with you. What I really need is a home with zen vibes and lots of patience and love to help me live my best life. In return, you’ll get yourself a quiet companion, the occasional unexpected snooting and a pair of warm brown eyes that will melt your choccy-loving heart.
