I am Khaleesi, Chocolatiest of the Hounds, Sweetest of Girls and Most Interested in Treats, First of her Name and, most importantly, really excited to meet you!
I am NOT a Breaker of Chains, like another Khaleesi you might know. In fact, I walk VERY well on the lead and I am keen to explore your neighbourhood with you! Maybe you live near a beach or some bushes? We could walk there, too! I get a bit nervous around other greyhounds and dogs. We could probably go walking together with a bit of personal space between us but when it comes to my forever home, I’ll probably be happier if I am the only doggo. When you’re basically royalty like me, you might not want to share all the houndy pats, ear rubs and cuddles that your human has to give. That said, I wouldn’t mind if you had little humans (age 5+) in the home.
I am a gentle girl still working out the new world around me, so you’ll understand if I get a bit nervous or freeze a little while I am still figuring out your world. Ideally, my new home and family will be a little patient with me while I get the hang of things and will have a safe, comfy space or two for me to adjust in. I hear you have these couch things and I’m not gonna lie- they sound ideal! I know you like to sit there too, so maybe I could warm it up for you, what do you say? I’m a queen, it’s true, but I’m not a total princess, so I’d be okay with a lovely warm bed to roach on, too! And, in return, I’ll vow to help you out with any leftover barbecue chicken or bits of cheese. I will also lean up against you for hugs, make funny noises when you rub my ear in just the right spot and gallop around the house when I hear you open any kind of packaging, just in case!
I think you and I could really work out, don’t you? I could be Khaleesi, Chocolatiest of the Hounds, Sweetest of Girls and Most Interested in Treats, Of YOUR house, First of her Name! Catchy, right?
If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, fill out an application form and the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue will get on the case. Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way. Get in touch to find out more!
PS - want a free bag of food if you adopt me? Just enquire via my SavourLife Profile. For every finalised adoption through the page, SavourLife will give Greyhound Rescue a donation and you a free bag of food!
