Darcy
3 year old male
Hello, I'm Darcy!
The humans of Greysland are not insensible to my likeness to that other dashing fellow, Mr Darcy.
Despite my good looks, I'm the furthest thing from brooding and I'm often told what a sweet boy I am. You can already picture it can't you? Don't worry, I can't wait to snuggle into you too - I will love you better than any charming leading man.
As brave as every hero must be, at times I've shown a fear of men, however, I've enjoyed adventures with some of our male volunteers where we've played fetch, so perhaps it's just a matter of gentle introductions. All the pomp and ceremony of an Austen novel typically centres around a ball, so it seems fitting that I should charm you through a game of fetch!
Regardless of your age or breed (I like all dogs and children aged 5 and up), when we meet, you must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you –– especially if you're rather good at pats and fetch!
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a white tipped tail, must be in want of a furever home. If you recall the BBC production of Pride & Prejudice, Mr Darcy had two greyhounds – but no pressure, you can start with me!
If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, fill out an application form and the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue will get on the case. Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way. Get in touch to find out more!
PS - want a free bag of food if you adopt me? Just enquire via my SavourLife Profile. For every finalised adoption through the page, SavourLife will give Greyhound Rescue a donation and you a free bag of food!
