Murgatroyd, Murgie for short, was ‘Queen of the Kennel (and our hearts)’ during her time at Greysland. When fourth-time adopters Heather and Ken took her home on the 14th of August last year, we knew Murgie couldn’t have been in better, more loving hands. Read on to see what the past year has been like for this delightful trio.
“Our hounds name is Murgatroyd. Murgie for short.
She is such a delightful little lady, so interested in everything around her. She’s my constant shadow. She has settled in so well and we love her to bits.
She just loves her walks, passes other dogs politely and enjoys pats from the people we see regularly, who comment on how beautiful she is and how soft her fur is. Even people who have been hesitant are happy to pat her. She’s a great ambassadog!
Murgie loves her food and treats. She likes to join in our ritual of afternoon tea and has her own treats to enjoy. We have a range of beds for her, of course, and have just bought her fluffy donut beds for winter. She especially likes Sunday mornings when we go to our greyhound group walk at Bonnet Bay and she catches up with all her friends.
Murgie is our fourth greyhound from Greyhound Rescue. I love their commitment to match hounds and people which has worked out so well. We can’t thank them enough.”
