Darling Vine headed off to live with her new family in May 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ten months on, Vine has settled in beautifully and won some serious fans as the 10/10 best greyhound/homeschooling companion!
“We welcomed our beautiful big baby, Vine, into our home in May 2020. Although she kept her distance at our ‘meet and greet’, it didn’t take long for her to grow comfortable with us. Fast forward 10 months, although adults outside the house are still a little scary, inside Vine is a chilled out, affectionate hound who loves kids and will give anything to have a cuddle, snuggle or a pat!
She loves her bucket of stuffed toys, going for car rides, the beach, smelling flowers and BBQ chook. Vine has learnt to play fetch and she just loves being part of the family action. According to our kids, she was the best thing about home school too! Thank you, Greyhound Rescue for matching us with this beautiful girl.” – Marita, Vine’s mum
And for a little extra tugging at the heartstrings, take a look at the gorgeous little letter Vine’s brother Jack wrote for her at Christmas time. CAUTION: You will melt!!
The letter reads: “Happy Holidays. Dear Vine, I’ve had a great year because you gave me lots of snuggles during Home school. My favourite part of this year was bringing you home in May. Love from Jack!!! Merry Christmas”
