Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Look at me! Look at me over here! I’m Myrtle!

Are you the kind of person who loves a challenge? Well, look no further. I’m here and I am well worth it. All the humans that care for me, love me!

Navigating my way through adolescence, I’m a smart and trainable teen. I’ve learnt so much already! I’m a fun, bouncy, outgoing girl with energy to burn. A seeker of opportunities, I love enrichment activities that keep my brain ticking over and over!

Here’s my ideal match: 1) someone who has experience with a range of doggo behaviours. I still need you to guide and help me learn. 2) someone who is home more often than not, and 3) someone who doesn’t have children at home. I can get a bit too excited for them. You see, though I’ve come a long way, my emotions are still something I am keeping in check.

Oh, and I’m also best as an only dog because my signature brand of excitable and up-close play isn’t for every doggo. Not all are as keen to be friends as me. I know…go figure!

But this is where you come in! Helping me could be your greatest challenge of all! I do have some big feelings and the dogtor has prescribed me with some medication that helps me regulate these. Forget free diving or base jumping, guiding me as I continue to learn to be calm and gentle in the right situation will give you the ultimate sense of accomplishment.

Because the thing is, I have proven to be quite the clever clogs (I am very “trainable”). If you’re willing to put in the time for some daily training, enrichment and mental stimulation, I promise I’ll become your best mate in no time. With the best manners to match, of course. Together, we can keep calm and carry on, plus have a lot of fun along the way!

So, what do you think? Shall we give it a go?

If you think you'd be interested in meeting me, fill out an application form and the volunteers at Greyhound Rescue will get on the case. Our matchmakers go to greyt lengths to match each hound with the right family to make sure everyone's happy, and you'll become part of a wonderful rescue community with lots of support along the way. Get in touch to find out more!

PS - want a free bag of food if you adopt me? Just enquire via my SavourLife Profile. For every finalised adoption through the page, SavourLife will give Greyhound Rescue a donation and you a free bag of food!
