The Project

Bringing our precious hounds safely to our Rescue Centre Greysland is so important. At the moment, we are cruising around in a little old van that’s almost 20 years old – and while we love her dearly, she’s barely keeping it together.

We need your help to get our volunteers behind the wheel of a brand new Toyota Hiace van. The Noodle Wagon will have extra capacity to transport more hounds, and modern conveniences like air conditioning and purpose-built extra safe stainless steel kennel spaces. Those trips out to collect the most vulnerable hounds will be a breeze compared to the long, hot trip in our bumpy, bombed out van.

Greyhound Rescue relies on donations to be able to do what we do for Greyhounds, and that’s why we need your help. Our new Noodle Wagon will increase our transport capacity by 25%, meaning that we can save more greyhounds in the greatest need.

Let’s face it – pooches deserve pampering! So, Greyhound Rescue has created a cookbook filled with hound friendly recipes. These fun noodle dishes can be enjoyed with your pooch to celebrate a special occasion, to mark a significant event, or just to enjoy time together as a family while also providing an excellent photo-op. These pet-friendly recipes are simple to make and fun for four-legged friends. Get fancy, plate up on your finest bone china, set the table with the best linen, crack out grandma’s silverware and don your formal gear… or just enjoy a casual meal on the couch with your bff.
