Whiskey (on trial)

Hi there, I’m Whiskey, and if you’re thinking of adopting a greyhound, I’m all ears! Get it? I think my ears are my best feature – you can bet I’ll never miss the sound of a snack packet being opened!

I’m a bouncy boy with plenty of enthusiasm for life and especially for toys – the squeakier, the better! I hope my forever home has plenty of squeaky toys and some people who enjoy playing with me – that will make me so happy! I’m still learning how to interact with some dogs but I get along great with other greyhounds, so I’d be happy to share my home with one of them. Until then, I’m chilling out in foster care and enjoying learning all about the joys of pet life – it’s the best!

Some notes from Whiskey’s foster carers:

We have been loving having Whiskey. He is such a good boy. He is so friendly towards everyone. He still is a bit reactive with other dogs but he has become much better at ignoring them and coming along when I ask him to. Great with other greyhounds.

He is generally happy and not scared of anything (Vacuum, thunder, trains). I have never seen him act timidly or make any real noise besides a sleepy grunt. He greets everyone with a wagging tail but definitely still shows favouritism to his people.

I take him out for short walk morning and just before bed and a longer one in the afternoon. He is always thrilled to go out and is very alert with his funny ears meeting together. He loves company and tends to follow me around and sleep nearby wherever I am at the time.

He is really an absolute joy. His constant happy grin can always improve anyone’s mood. I can’t see why he couldn’t live in a populated area. I think he would be suited anywhere that is loving and caring and that either has a bit of space or is able to take him out a couple times a day.
