Willow (Cat friendly)Homed

Willow has found his forever home with Jane, Joe, Isabella and all the family. Lucky Willow.

Willow is a small, young brindle who has tested as ‘cat friendly’ and is a very quiet, smoochy, relaxed young lad.

One of our wonderful helpers took Willow for a long weekend away recently and she reports “He is delightful, quiet, pawfect in every way. He is afraid of the cats, is velcro and loves his pats and cuddles. He sits…not on command but he spends some cute  time on the lead sitting and looking up at me as if to say… are we done yet?
He sleeps through the night and waits to be taken outside. It will certainly be a big wrench to take him back to the kennel this weekend! I give him an A+ for everything! I know he will find a fantastic and happy home! Beautiful Willow!!”

Willow is:

*  2 years old

*  desexed

*  microchipped

*  vaccinated

*  heartworm tested and treated

*  costs $300

    He has the softest eyes and beautiful colours. From the photo’s he looks like he couple be part whippet with his smaller frame. Is Willow good with other dogs? He is best suited to a family with or without another grey?

    Can you please post the details as I will be in Sydney late next week and would really like the opportunity to meet him. I was also wondering if the greys in NSW are test and have got the green collar, is that acceptable in Vic? or would I need to get them tested in Vic? Thank you very much for your help :))

    Hi Sarah the greys don’t have the green collar but you can organise that once you have him home in VIC. Please give Donna a call to arrange a suitable time, day and kennel address to meet with Willow. Call 0405 049 016

    Hi Sarah McDonald, we have so many gorgeous greys I am sure there will be one suitable to your circumstances. If you live in Melbourne we can transport dogs to approved homes under certain conditions, however if you are going to be in Sydney we would encourage you to meet more than one, particularly several that have been in foster care and are more used to a home environment if this would be your first greyhound. Some greys must have another dog (not necessarily a grey) for company, others are OK on their own as long as you are not out all day at work everyday leaving them alone. All our greys have to wear muzzles in public unless they have had the “GAP” (Vic) or “Greenhound” NSW testing – this is purely because of the law and not because of their temperament. In either case it’s best to call to discuss Willow with Donna who helps at the kennels as Willow is new and his personality is still evolving!

    Thank you for the information. We already have a grey, she is 3 years old and fantastic. We are getting another grey to be friends with her. The reason we are looking for a cat friendly is because we travel and stay at a house with 2 cats. I will not be in Sydney long only for a couple of hours on Saturday morning. I am happy to meet more then one greyhound, it just worked that Willow meet what we had been looking for. I am happy to discuss further and can be contacted on 0448812780.

    Hi, I was wondering if Willow is still available to be adopted? My family and I are looking to get another dog (we have a medium sized, friendly terrier cross who’s about 6 and a very lazy, apathetic cat) and I thought adopting a grey would be perfect for us. Thank you. 🙂

    Hi
    Is willow still available?

    If so would it be possible after meeting with him to foster before adopting him?

    I have never had a greyhound before.

    Would he suit a family invironment children aged 12 up?also have a small dog that visits regularly.

    Thanks for your time,
    nicole

    Yes Willow is still available and is currently living with older children. However, as he is already being fostered, he would need to go into an adoption situation with a trial period.
