Tiggs (homed)

Hi there, I’m (tiny) Tiggs! I’m quite a petite boy (that’s how I got my nickname) but don’t worry, what I lack in size I make up for in personality! I’m a friendly chap who loves the company of people. I don’t mind if you live in an apartment or a small house – if you have a comfy bed (or three) for me then I’d love to chill with you anytime.

Some notes from Tiggs’ foster carers:

Tiggs loves going for walks and exploring new areas and parks (and smells!). He loves medium length walks and a good play session. It doesn’t take too much to tire him out, so he is likely well suited to people with less time for exercise. On play, he LOVES playing, whether it be in the apartment or at the park, his favourite toys being large soft toys and anything that is easy to squeak.

He has adapted well to both of us starting full-time work and not being home as often as we were when he first came home. On this note, he appears to be very comfortable in our apartment. Despite the smaller space, he still loves playing indoors, but we definitely notice how much joy he derives from outdoor play. He finds comfort in lying down almost anywhere in the apartment and having a wide assortment of toys on his bed (toys sometime include household objects which he likes to keep safe for us on his bed!).

Tiggs is very polite with meeting other dogs. He is equally as comfortable keeping his distance from other dogs while he does his own thing as he is meeting them. We think he is a bit of an introvert! Bearing this in mind, he much prefers meeting calm dogs who respect his space rather than overly excited ones. We live in a relatively quiet neighbourhood which we think helps with this.

Tiggs is still learning how to master staircases, and we are undertaking some basic command training and recall which he is slowly picking up.

He loves meeting new people and enjoys receiving attention and affection from strangers.
