Shani (cat friendly) (adopted)

Shani has been found her forever home with Lucy and family.

“I am being sponsored by Liz! Please visit Sponsor a Hound if you wish to sponsor another of my kennel mates :)”

Shani is a dear little thing who has just recently arrived. Tony saved her and another grey from Gumtree and they have kept Belle as a pet of their own to accompany their first greyhound William. Thank you for saving these 2 Tony!

Shani seems to be quite timid and shy at first, but she opens up as soon as you pay her some gentle attention. She is very happy once she comes out of her shell and has such a sweet little grin. She travels very well in the car (she can hop in and out with no problems) and walks nicely on the lead. Shani is quite small for a girl and the volunteers think she would love to travel home in your hand bag 😉

Like many of our greyhounds, they require fosters so please get in touch if you think you can look after one of our greyhounds. Please email if you wish to foster or if you think Shani might be the girl for you 🙂

Shani is:

  • 2 years old
  • desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and treated
  • adoption costs $300
  • located in Sydney
  • not yet cat tested

we had her for 2 days before sending her to Sydney, she loves a cuddle and from we what we found out was that she had just came from training but the owner is sick and cant handle them. She was ok in the house and other than being a bit possessive of her space , she got on fine with William, Belle and our Kelpie Toby, we would have kept her as well but 4 is too many for us at the moment.

She is SO sweet. A bit overwhelmed right now but she’ll come out of her shell soon and we’ll see her get even sweeter!
