Rossi has waited ever so patiently to find his forever. Other dogs have come and gone, and through no fault of his own he still waits. He has now gone into foster with Peter and Janet.

Rossi is being sponsored by Alexandria and Cindy!

Rossi has had 3 weeks of intense training at the Australian Canine and Sport Centre. He has played with big dogs, little dogs and is getting really into his scent detection! This boy is smarty pants!!

He enjoyed his visit from some volunteers and loved his trips out to the shops to meet and greet.

Rossi is a very smiley male greyhound cross (we were told, although he does not look much like a greyhound) who was recently picked up from the pound by one of our hard working volunteers who says he has 10/10 in car travelling skills! All we know is that he was surrendered because his owners could no longer provide for him.

Our kennel volunteers love Rossi and say he responds well to positive reinforcement with treats and already knows how to sit on command. He walks and runs well on the lead so would make an excellent jogging partner! They all agree that he just wants to please and be loved in return.

Rossi is:

* 6 years old (dob April 09)

* desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm tested and treated

* located- Sydney

* adoption costs $300 ($350 from August 1st 2014)

If you can find room in your heart and home for Rossi PLEASE get in touch with us he has waited far too long! info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

    This chap really needs a home to learn the ropes, kennel life is not for him. We would desperately love to hear from you if you can help in any way. Do you live near Riverstone and know a vet with training classes or know of any agility sessions you can take him to? Even a once a week class would help him until he can find his permanent home.

    Mr Rossi is such a sweetheart. He is in urgent need of a foster carer. He needs a carer who will be home with him most of the time and a secure pen when no one is home. A happy, friendly and intelligent man who is so eager to please. A real pal for life. Kennel life is not for him. He is too intelligent for that. Not quite a greyhound.

    Who ever takes Rossie will have another week with a different trainer paid by us. He is. Kelpie cross greyhound but more kelpie than anything. He is just super friendly with everything and anyone, just a beautiful dog but not suited to kennel life. He sits on command and raises his paw to get more treats. There must be someone out there for him.
