Nelson (homed)

YIPEEE! Nelson has found his home with foster mumma Kerrie and family! So very happy for this chap 🙂 Thanks Kerrie!!!

Handsome 5 year old Nelson is now in foster care with Kerrie and her hound Sandy and lab Nelly in Nambucca Heads on the mid North coast of NSW. Nelson is child and small dog friendly and this makes him a super catch! Kerrie reports:

“What can I say, beautiful Nelson is such a big sweetie. In only a few weeks he’s come from having no idea about anything, to being toilet trained, relaxing, being nice and calm on walks, and getting the hang of stairs. He is a gentleman when it comes to food, beautifully chewing up chicken frames, chicken necks and pigs ears. Clipping nails is not an issue, he will stand almost falling asleep while I do them.

He loves meeting any kind of dog, big or small, and ADORES people, he will sidle up to anyone for a pat or cuddle, kids or adult. He’s happy to sleep on his bed, on the lounge, or on my bed! I haven’t heard him bark yet, or whinge. LOVES squeaky toys and hasn’t destroyed any yet! Whoever gives a forever home to Nelson will have themselves a loving, loyal gorgeous boy who thrives on being part of a family. His half an ear and missing toenail on one foot make him extremely unique and even more special”.

He is calm around children of all ages and would be happiest in a home with lots of human company as well as a doggy friend.

Nelson is:

*  5 years old(dob Oct 2007)

*  desexed

*  micochipped

*  vaccinated

*  heartworm tested and treated

*  costs $300

    Hi, is he still looking for a home?
    I would love to adopt a greyhound, especially a black/grey one.
    I have a 15month old son and I work during the day. I am also renting so I would have to ask the question if I could have a dog and if it could be an indoor dog as I wouldn’t have it any other way.

    Hi everyone, Nelson is now one of the longest serving greyhounds waiting for a home, he has been with us since late 2011 and there is no reason for it at all- yes he’s black, but he’s a quiet, calm, gentleman, loves kids, adults and other dogs and would suit a family down to the ground. As his foster Kerrie says he has learned that living in a home is the best thing ever. He is up on the mid North coast of NSW and is ready for a forever home right now, 5 years is a great age- past silly young dog ways but still fit and healthy with lots of years ahead. If you are up that way please get in touch with us ASAP.
