How You Can Help
Greyhound Rescue finds loving forever homes for greyhounds no longer wanted by the racing industry. Relying on donations from the public, fundraising, and a predominantly volunteer-run workforce, Greyhound Rescue plays an important role in helping hounds discover new lives as cherished family pets. Greyhound Rescue is based just south of Sydney and facilitates adoption and foster placements across NSW and ACT.

A “marker” or a “marker word” is a sound or verbal cue that we can use to communicate with our hounds. It helps us during training by enabling us to mark a behaviour at the exact moment it happens with time to offer a food reward. Read on as we explain marker words in more detail.
