A huge thanks to BBC Worldwide

Greyhound Rescue would like to thank the team from BBC Worldwide for its fabulous support today.

This is the second year BBCW has supported Greyhound Rescue’s efforts to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds who can no longer race.

The team from BBCW helped prepare overnight accommodation for volunteers who come from far and wide to help Greyhound Rescue and often face a long drive home after a long day’s work.

In this way, we are helping ensure their safety and the longevity of our volunteering force.

The team also washed windows, cleared cobwebs, swept up leaves, tidied fencing wire, removed eyes from donated toys for safety, moved poles and wire for fire truck access, walked every dog and gave a couple of newcomers a much-needed bath!

Without the support of corporate volunteers like BBC Worldwide, these tasks just couldn’t get done by our already stretched volunteers and we thank them once again wholeheartedly for their support.
