Camden-Narellan and Wollondilly Advertisers: Adopt a new forever friend this month

If you’re thinking about adopting a dog, now is the time to do it.

Greyhound Rescue has declared April to be ‘Adopt-a-Greyhound Month’.

The Camden charity organisation has launched a Youtube campaign to help deserving hounds find forever homes.

The video features a lonely greyhound named Max, voiced by Todd McKenney, who is an ex-racer ‘looking for commitment’ and a new career as a pet.

Mr McKenney owns two rescued greyhounds himself.

“The main thing I’d like people to know about greyhounds is that they’re probably the opposite of what you think they’re going to be like if you haven’t met one,” he said.

“They are a huge part of my family and I can highly, highly recommend them to any family out there of any age. I hope you love them as much as I do.”

The dogs at Greyhound Rescue are de-sexed, vaccinated and heartworm tested. Adopters pay $350 per dog.
