Hi there, I’m Nova! I’m a pint-sized young girl with the bestest eyebrows you’ll ever see. The volunteers at Greyhound Rescue think I’m cute as a button – you’re sure to find me irresistible too!
I’m a bit of a shy girl and I’m looking for a quiet, patient home who can work with me to help build my confidence. In the time I’ve been at Greyhound Rescue I’ve learned to start trusting humans and I’ve even been brave enough to start asking them for pats – they’re pretty good, if you ask me! I’m still a bit nervous for walks though, so I’d prefer a home with a backyard that I can explore and run around in if I’m not feeling ready to face the big wide world. I wouldn’t mind sharing my house with a gentle big dog buddy either, if there’s one of them in your family – maybe they can help me find my confidence.
Once I learn that I can trust you, I’ll greet you with so much happiness it will melt your heart. I’ve got a playful and cheeky side too – I love toys so if there are some squeaky ones at your place, I can’t wait to play with them!
Here are some notes from Nova’s foster humans:
Nova walks well with other dogs, but still lacks confidence going for a walk as an only dog. She freezes from time to time which we are working on.
Nova is okay being left alone and sleeps well through the night.
