Hi there, I’m Delia, pleased to meet you! I’m a bit of a pocket rocket and my zest for life is unmatched… if you take me home, I’m sure to fill your days with laughter!
I’m so affectionate and I absolutely LOVE meeting new people – new friends are the BEST!!! I love to greet them with lots of kisses. In fact I’m quite the expert at ‘tongue out Tuesday’ and I love to make all the volunteers laugh with my funny faces!
I had a bit of an accident a few months ago when I injured my leg while doing some zoomies. Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite healing properly so the dogtors said that the best option was to amputate my leg. Being a tripawd hasn’t dulled my enthusiasm for life though – I’m still the same party girl I’ve always been and I’ve wowed everyone with how well I’ve adjusted to life on three legs!
To make sure I can get around easily, I need a home that doesn’t have too many stairs, and if it has slippery floors, my humans will need to cover it with rugs and runners so that I don’t slip. I would love some outdoor space too, for sniffing around and of course for playtime!
I get along okay when I’m playing with other dogs, although I don’t like when they get up close in my face. I think I’d be happiest being a solo dog at home though – who doesn’t love being the centre of attention!
PS – want a free bag of food if you adopt me? Just enquire via my SavourLife profile. For every finalised adoption through the page, SavourLife will give Greyhound Rescue a donation and you a free bag of food!

Medical needs: Delia has had a leg amputated. She’s doing a fantastic job adjusting to life on three legs, but it will take her a bit more time to fully master it. She needs a home with minimal stairs. Slippery floors such as tiles and floorboards will need to be covered with rugs and runners.
Greyhound Rescue’s adoption fee is $385. All our hounds are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated, and heartworm tested and treated.
The adoption fee also includes our New Adopter Kit – collar, leash, muzzle and loads of other goodies to help you get your new hound settled into the family.
