Chloe (homed)

I’m Chloe and I’m what you might call a pocket rocket. Even though I’m teeny tiny, what I lack in size, I make up for in personality! I’m a fun loving gal who loves to get out and about and would love a home with loads of toys to play with and maybe a backyard to stretch my legs or do a zoomie or two. Being quite the social girl, I get along well with other dogs and kids aren’t a problem for me. Read More »

Marshall (homed)

I’m Marshall, and I’m a friendly, fun loving guy. I mean, just look at my goofy big smile! Surely that’s enough to win you over right now. What I’d really love is a comfy bed to call my own and someone to take me out on walks – that’s when I really smile! I’m okay with other dogs but I definitely prefer the company of ladies. Dino (homed)

Hi I’m Dino and I’m one big hunk o’spunk. Yes I’m big but I’m tall dark and handsome too, so that means there is just more of me to love! Despite my size, I am very good on the lead, I just bumble along at your side until something more interesting happens. I love to play but because I’m a bigger boy I would be better with older children, I just can’t help being a bit of a klutz! I’m looking forward to a family that will snuggle with me on the lounge so the couch doesn’t fly away – is that you?

Esme (homed)

Esme is kindly sponsored by Fiona, Laura & Christine.

I’m Esme, and just like Esme Watson you can guarantee I will know exactly what’s going on around your neighbourhood. You can think of me as your security officer, poking my needlenose between the curtains just to make sure we’re not missing out on anything. I could possibly even join your local branch of the CWA (that’s the Canine Watch Association not the other CWA although I could join them too if there were scones for the taking). I’m sociable around other dogs, although I draw the line at cats. A gentle short constitutional is all that is required, the rest of the time I’m happy to nap (with one eye open of course) so I won’t be much trouble at all. If you have room for a hound at your house get in touch with the volunteers info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Sponsor of the Month – March

Clyde, Debbie & Jack Woods

Birdthdays: Clyde – 3rd May, Debbie – 1st September and Jack – 18th January

When and how did you first start donating to GR?
We first started donating to Greyhound Rescue after meeting a family who looked after dogs when people go on holidays or looked after our beautiful Kelli while we were away. We had heard about GR before and thought what a great organisation and that’s as far as it got.

After speaking to these wonderful people, who also fostered at one stage. It made us more aware of what you guys do for this wonderful dog breed.

After we adopted our second grey we thought we can’t have three at home, we’ll pay for the upkeep for one at Greyhound Rescue who have no government funding provided to try and help. That was about 2 or 3 years ago – we’re not really sure when but it doesn’t matter as long as we do.

Ruby is just two years old, is other dog friendly, child friendly and loves to play. Her ideal home would have another dog and children but would also make a good friend for another greyhound. She is a bit shy to start with but soon gets to know you. Ruby is currently in foster home with other dogs.

Candy

Hi I’m Candy, and when I get excited you would think I’ve been eating candy! Being white I will need an outdoor area that is covered to protect my skin in Summer if I am left outside during the day. I am good with kids, and ok with other houndies. What I’m looking for is someone with a yard, and a good walking partner. I like to get out and move and do stuff. I’m still a houndie that enjoys a nap but I’m not the sort that will be okay left in an apartment by myself with only a short stroll in the morning. I need toys to keep me busy, and exercise to keep me occupied.

I could be your new personal trainer, how about it? Contact info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Sam (homed)

I am Sam, AKA Sammy Seal, and I’m looking for a home where I can be treated as the king I am. I prefer to have a kingdom of one so at present I would be better without other doggies to compete for attention. Smaller humans are ok, as long as they’re a bit older and understand that sometimes I like my space! I am super playful and love my toys, so when I arrive at your palace make sure you present me with lots of tokens of your adoration. If you have the Castle fit for me get in touch with the volunteers info@greyhoundrescue.com.au

Joe Dirt (homed)

Hi I’m Joe Dirt, brother to former Greyhound Rescue kennel kid, Alexander the Greyt. I love meeting new doggy friends and playing with them. I’m good with kids so if you there are tiny humans at your house I’m alright with that. I’m as cute as a black button and so snuggly and friendly. I love all toys especially chasing balls, but if you don’t have a backyard I’m okay with that. If you’re a full time worker I’ll be okay, just give me a couch and I’ll be happy!
