Elliot (homed)

Hi there, I’m Elliot and this is my story. I’m a happy go lucky guy with a big smile and an even bigger heart. I’m sweet natured and cuddly, I love to play so I just know you will fall in love with me. I’m a young boy at only two years old so I have lots of love and life to give!

Happy Holidays from Greyhound Rescue

With 2017 drawing to a close, we wanted to take the opportunity to thank all of our wonderful supporters for enabling Greyhound Rescue to do what it does best, rescue and rehome greyhounds.

People just like you are what makes Greyhound Rescue tick. From our dedicated and tireless volunteers, our fantastic sponsors and supporters, fabulous foster carers, and everyone who has adopted a hound.

Happy Holidays, and on to an even more amazing 2018!

A big festive thank you to Lush Cosmetics!

Greyhound Rescue would like to thank Lush Cosmetics once again for its generous support of our lovely hounds! After our visit to the manufacturing plant at Villawood earlier this year, the whole team has a very soft spot for Greyhound Rescue.

Lush’s Villawood Manufacturing team chooses a charity each year to be the recipient of Kris Kringle presents. Instead of gifting to one another, the team members purchase items for a charity of their choice and this year they chose us.

Thank you so much Lush!

Marlo

How you doin’? I’m Marlo and if tall, dark and handsome is your type – I’m the hound for you!  I’m a fun outgoing, fun loving kind of guy with a bounce in my step.  I love my toys and will play games with you over and over if you let me. I love to lean right in for a cuddle and if you scratch me in just the right place – my teeth will chatter together with happiness!

I’m new to this pet business so I’m looking for someone to help show me the ropes – the word here at the kennels is I might even get a nice comfy couch to share with my new family! I can be a little bit excited around other dogs so it might be best if I’m the only fur kid so I can be the centre of attention. Children could be OK if they’re a bit older – sometimes I can be a bit of a klutz!

Smokey (homed)

Hi there, I’m Smokey and I have the cutest little ‘origami’ ears ever! Well, they just seem to have a life of their own, so I like to keep them neatly folded so they stay in place. I’m mad about toys and will play games with you over and over if you let me –  and then some! So when I arrive at your place, make sure you’re well stocked. So far, I’ve been good with the other hounds I’ve met at Greyhound Rescue HQ, so if you’ve maybe got a furry brother or sister for me, I’d love to meet them!

Boris (homed)

Hello! I’m Boris. I like to consider myself quite the gourmet – my major talent is stealing sniffing out any kind of food, and I’d love it if you let me take on the job of ‘chief taste tester’ in my new home. Well, at the very least we could snuggle on the couch and watch the Master Chef together! I’m a friendly and sociable boy who is pretty good with other dogs. If you’ve got any brothers and sisters for me, I’d love to meet them first.

Jazzy (homed)

Hi, I’m Jazzy and I’m as smooth and laid back as anything you’ll hear on Smooth FM (hey – no judgement!). I am friendly with other dogs, good with kids, birds, and even cats! I’m really just that chilled out. If you give me a neck scratch I’m all yours, and if you give me a teddy, I’ll be your friend forever. I’m great on the lead too, just a calm and super relaxed dog that would suit all kind of homes.

Kaylee (homed)

I’m Kaylee, and although I’m heading towards my senior years I am the sweetest hound you could ever meet, so please don’t pass me by! I mean, just look at my smile… surely that’s enough to win you over right now. I’m a happy, sweet girl who’s very much into hanging out with cuddles, uh, I mean people. I also consider myself a bit of a toy connoisseur so I’m looking forward to having a family that can help me add to my toy collection. I’m happy to be around all of the other greyhounds I’ve met so far, so I’m happy to meet any potential fur siblings you have for me!

Megs (homed)

Megs was named in memory of Megs Northey, whose time with us was too fleeting.

“Hi there, I’m Megs and I’m 9 years young. Don’t let my little bit of grey around my muzzle worry you, I’ve still got plenty of zoomies left in me! Besides, I think I’m ageing fabulously – you wouldn’t think I was a day over 6! I’m a sweet and affectionate girl who’s still keen to be for a good play and social time with the other doggies I’ve met but that doesn’t mean I don’t like my quiet time… I’d love a home where I can join you on gentle short strolls and snuggle in for a long afternoon nap.”
