Jessica needs cleft palate surgery!

Have you ever met one of those dogs who is so vivacious and sweet that everyone loves them immediately? They make friends everywhere they go and bring a smile to people’s faces. That’s Jessica. In spite of a medical problem that causes her discomfort and extreme difficulty eating on a daily basis, she is playful and loving, and nothing short of a delight.

Jessica was born with a very pronounced cleft palate. She has a gaping hole in the roof of her mouth that goes all the way through to her nasal cavity. Every time she tries to eat or drink, food and water fall back out her nose. There is a real risk that she could breathe it in or it could become stuck and cause a life-threatening infection.

Jess has had one round of surgery so far and needs another operation and a special dental plate to allow her a chance at a normal life, and so that we can find her a loving home.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution and give Jess this special gift.
